Frequently asked questions

Are numbers kept as numbers?

Yes. Values such as 1,234.50, $75.00, (12.00) and 15% become numbers with the same display format, so formulas and totals work straight away.

How are the columns found?

From the gaps between aligned text on each page, the way you would draw the column lines by eye. Right-aligned amounts and left-aligned labels each get their own column.

Does it work with scanned statements?

Only with PDFs that have selectable text. For a scan, first recognise the text in Edit PDF, download it, then convert.

Is this tool really free?

Yes. It is free with no signup, no watermark and no daily limits.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. All processing happens in your browser, so your files never leave your device.
